Account — Billable time

The Billable time account is a built-in account in Manager that tracks time entries billable to customers. While its default name is Billable time, you may want to rename it to better suit your accounting practices. This guide explains how to rename the Billable time account and adjust its settings.

Accessing the Billable Time Account Settings

To rename the Billable time account:

  1. Go to the Settings tab.
  2. Click on Chart of Accounts.
  3. Locate the Billable time account in the list.
  4. Click the Edit button next to the Billable time account.

Editing the Account Details

The account edit form contains the following fields:

Name

Enter the new name for the account. The default is Billable time, but you can rename it to reflect your specific needs.

Code

(Optional) Assign a code to the account if you use account codes in your chart of accounts. This can help with sorting and organizing accounts.

Group

Select the group under the Balance Sheet where this account should appear. Grouping accounts helps organize financial statements according to your reporting structure.

Saving Changes

After entering your desired changes:

  • Click the Update button at the bottom of the form to save the changes.

Note:

  • The Billable time account cannot be deleted. It is automatically added to your chart of accounts when you create your first billable time entry.
