Capital subaccounts

The Capital Subaccounts feature in Manager.io enables you to create sub-accounts under each capital account. This allows for detailed tracking and grouping of transactions within capital accounts into specific categories such as Drawings, Funds Contributed, Share of Profit, and more.

Enabling Capital Subaccounts

To set up capital subaccounts:

  1. Navigate to the Settings tab.

  2. Click on Capital Subaccounts.

  3. Specify the sub-accounts you wish to make available for all capital accounts.

Using Capital Subaccounts in Transactions

When recording transactions involving capital accounts:

  1. Select the appropriate capital control account.
  2. Choose a capital account from the options listed under the Capital Accounts tab.
  3. Select one of the sub-accounts specified in the Capital Subaccounts settings.

By doing so, you ensure that each transaction is accurately categorized within the capital account structure.

Viewing Capital Account Movements

To view transactions organized by capital accounts and sub-accounts for a specific period:

  1. Go to the Reports tab.
  2. Select the Capital Accounts Summary report.

This report provides a comprehensive overview of all movements, allowing you to analyze the activity within each capital account and its sub-accounts.
