Account — Inventory on hand

The InventoryOnHand account is a built-in account in Manager that tracks the value of your inventory. While you cannot delete this account, you can rename it to suit your accounting preferences.

Accessing the Account Settings

To rename the InventoryOnHand account:

1. Go to the Settings tab.
2. Click on ChartOfAccounts.
3. Locate the InventoryOnHand account in the list.
4. Click the Edit button next to the InventoryOnHand account.

Fields Available for Editing

In the edit form, you can modify the following fields:

Name

Enter the new name for the account. The default name is InventoryOnHand, but you can rename it to better fit your chart of accounts structure.

Code

If desired, enter a code for the account. Using codes can help organize and sort accounts within your financial reports.

Group

Select the group on the BalanceSheet under which this account should be presented. Assigning the account to the appropriate group ensures accurate categorization in your financial statements.

Saving Changes

After making your changes:

• Click the Update button to save them.

Important Notes

• Cannot be Deleted: The InventoryOnHand account is a system account and cannot be deleted.
• Automatic Addition: This account is automatically added to your ChartOfAccounts when you create at least one inventory revaluation.
