Account — Withholding tax receivable

The Withholding Tax Receivable account is a built-in account in Manager that tracks withholding taxes on sales invoices. You can rename and customize this account to suit your accounting preferences.

Accessing the Account Form

To rename or modify the Withholding Tax Receivable account:

1. Go to the Settings tab.
2. Click on Chart of Accounts.
3. Find the Withholding Tax Receivable account and click the Edit button.

Account Fields

When editing the account, you will encounter the following fields:

Name

The name of the account. The default is Withholding Tax Receivable, but you can rename it as desired.

Code

An optional code for the account. Enter a code if you use account codes for organization.

Group

Select the group under the Balance Sheet where this account should appear.

Saving Changes

After making your changes, click the Update button to save them.

Note: This account cannot be deleted. It is automatically added to your Chart of Accounts when you enable withholding taxes on sales invoices. For more information, see Withholding Tax.
