Capital Accounts Summary

The Capital Accounts Summary report provides a comprehensive overview of your capital accounts, detailing current balances, transactions, and overall financial positions. This report is essential for tracking equity, contributions, withdrawals, and the share of profits or losses for each capital account holder.

Creating a Capital Accounts Summary Report

To generate a new Capital Accounts Summary report in Manager.io, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Reports Tab

    • On the left-side menu, click on the Reports tab to access the list of available reports.
  2. Select Capital Accounts Summary

    • In the reports list, find and click on Capital Accounts Summary.
  3. Create a New Report

    • Click on the New Report button at the top of the page to initiate the creation of a new report.

  4. Configure the Report Settings

    • Set the reporting period and any other necessary parameters to tailor the report to your needs.
  5. Generate the Report

    • After configuring the settings, click Create to generate the report.

Understanding the Report

The Capital Accounts Summary report will display:

  • Opening Balances: The starting balance of each capital account at the beginning of the reporting period.
  • Contributions: Additional capital injected into the business by each account holder.
  • Drawings: Amounts withdrawn by the account holders.
  • Share of Profit/Loss: The allocated share of net profit or loss for each account holder.
  • Closing Balances: The ending balance of each capital account at the end of the reporting period.

This report helps in monitoring the changes in capital accounts over a specific period, ensuring transparency and accurate financial tracking for partnerships, corporations, or any entity with multiple equity holders.
