Import Business

The Import Business function allows you to import an existing business file that was previously created using the Backup feature. This is useful when:

  • Transferring data from the Desktop Edition to the Cloud Edition (or vice versa).
  • Moving your business data to a new computer.

Steps to Import a Business

1. Access the Businesses Tab

Open Manager and go to the Businesses tab. This is where all your businesses are listed.

2. Choose to Import a Business

Click the Add Business button and select Import Business from the drop-down menu.

3. Select the Backup File

On the Import Business screen, click the Choose File button. Browse your computer to locate and select the backup file of your business.

4. Import the Business

After selecting the file, click the Import button. Manager will import your business data.

5. Verify the Import

You will be taken back to the Businesses tab. Your imported business will now appear in the list. Click on the business name to open it and ensure all data has been restored correctly.

Tips

  • Transferring Between Editions: You can move your data seamlessly between the Desktop Edition and the Cloud Edition using the Backup and Import Business functions.
  • Setting Up on a New Computer: Use the Import Business function to restore your business data on a new computer after creating a backup from your previous device.

Remember to regularly back up your business data to prevent loss and to make transfers easier.
